BROADCOM CRYSTAL HD ENHANCED VIDEO ACCELERATOR DRIVER

Message 8 of 9. Here is the link to your service manual: Message 9 of 9. I have not found any documentation where it states that one must use a specific wireless device with the HP part numbers on them, but I do know that the only way a wireless device can be tested and certified by HP as having met the regulatory standards is one they have slapped a HP part number on. The BIOS error you are receiving specifically pertains to an unsupported wireless card. All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. The card I’m trying to use isn’t a wifi card, it’s a video accelerator.

Can’t even crystall into the BIOS. This topic has been archived. Message 9 of 9. Is there ANY way to get past this error message?

It is supported by HP as there are drivers for the card on the HP drivers page. OK, I did some research on the subject so now I know what a video accelerator card is. Now if the video accelerator is a USB device, you got me because you can install any type of USB wireless adapter in a HP notebook and it will work with no problems.

If you install an unsupported wireless card, that is the error you get. You can use this website and change the country and input the part number: Or if you are installing it in a mini PCI slot meant for a wireless card–same-same.

Message 6 of 9. Maybe you can do a enhancedd on the internet by the part number you need, and see if you can get it cheaper elsewhere than from HP. They are the only two that will work. Meanwhile, any comments anyone? That is because the device met it own certification requirements. I also see it does go into the WWAN mini-pcie slot, so that is definitely why you are getting that error.

Note on archived topics. I suggest you contact HP technical support. The drivers for the Crystal HD are on this web site for the so it should be possible! Didn’t find what you were looking for? See Chapter 3, page 22 for the video accelerator cards you can get for your notebook with corresponding HP part numbers. It’s twice the size of the slot it’s supposed to fit into.
